Welcome to the 51st year of Junior Baseball & Softball in La Canada. We are a non-profit, all volunteer group of parents and interested adults who provide baseball and softball programs for over 1100 boys and girls in grades K-9.

Last year we fielded over 90 regular season teams – each sponsored by a local business or individual. Many thanks to all of the families and businesses who sponsored teams, and in some cases, two or three teams! Your commitment to our organization is much appreciated.

There are some changes this year. We now have lights on the girl’s softball Oak Grove fields. This was made possible by the combined efforts and major financial support of the City and our organization as well as other user groups. For the older boys, in Babe Ruth, the age cut-off will be determined based upon your child’s age on April 30, 2006. This is a change that was imposed on our league by the national Babe Ruth organization. We will continue to expend significant resources toward field improvements and maintenance. Access to the restrooms at the elementary schools has finally been achieved.

Thanks again in advance to you parents for getting your children to their games and practices when a million things are pressing. As always, to our managers, coaches and other volunteers, I hope and pray that your experiences this year with LCJBSA will provide wonderful memories for years to come.
